People often come to therapy feeling articulate, capable, and deeply thoughtful - and still unsure why certain patterns keep repeating, or why familiar ways of coping no longer work.
My role is not to diagnose or fix you. It’s to think with you carefully, respectfully, and in context - so that what feels confusing or stuck can be understood differently, and real movement becomes possible.
I work in a way that is collaborative, non-pathologizing, and depth-oriented. I’m interested in meaning, identity, and the ways personal experience is shaped by relationships, culture, and life stage.
I’ve spent over a decade working with adults navigating complexity - trauma, identity shifts, addiction and recovery, eating and body concerns, grief, and major life transitions.
Across this work, a consistent pattern emerged: people weren’t lacking insight or effort. They were carrying expectations, adaptations, and stories that once made sense - and no longer fit.
That understanding continues to shape how I work today.
I don’t approach therapy as an expert who has answers about your life. I approach it as a collaborative process where we slow things down, look closely, and make room for perspectives that haven’t yet had space.
Clients often tell me our work feels:
o Thoughtful and grounded
o Emotionally attuned without being overwhelming
o Serious without being heavy
o Oriented toward real change, not just insight
I integrate Narrative Therapy and EMDR in a way that respects pacing, consent, and meaning-making. These approaches allow us to work both with understanding and with experiences that remain emotionally or physically “stuck.”
I have advanced training in menopause-informed mental health and work with many people navigating the psychological and identity shifts that can accompany midlife.
Perimenopause and menopause are often framed narrowly, yet they can affect mood, relationships, self-trust, and a sense of direction in profound ways. I’m particularly attentive to how these changes intersect with long-standing patterns, expectations, and life history.
This work often involves grief, re-evaluation, and the emergence of new priorities. My role is to help you make sense of these shifts with clarity rather than urgency.
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over a decade of clinical experience in private practice and treatment settings.
My training includes:
o Narrative Therapy
o EMDR (EMDRIA-Certified)
o Menopause-informed mental health (Bria-Certified)
I maintain an ongoing commitment to learning and consultation, particularly in areas involving trauma, identity, and midlife transitions.
People who tend to work well with me are thoughtful, reflective, and open to depth. They may be successful or capable in many areas of life, yet sense that something important is asking for attention.
If you’re looking for highly structured, skills-based therapy or directive advice, my approach may not be the best match.
If you’re interested in therapy that values context, meaning, and collaboration, we may be a good fit.
If you’d like to explore working together, I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation. We can talk about your reasons for seeking therapy, how I work, and whether this feels like the right fit.
